Use the product specification as the source of truth
This guide explains common furniture-material concepts. The actual product page, active variant and approved quotation/specification remain the commercial source of truth for a specific item.
Natural wood
Natural wood can vary in grain, colour, mineral marking and texture. Two pieces made from the same named wood species do not have to look visually identical.
Where KARIGAR lists a specific species or material, use that product/variant specification rather than inferring the material from a photograph alone.
Engineered and composite materials
Furniture can also use engineered panels, veneers, laminates, metal, glass, foam, webbing, hardware and other construction materials. A visual wood appearance does not automatically mean every structural part is solid natural wood.
Upholstery
Fabric and upholstery performance depends on fibre, weave, backing, colour, care and intended use. Screen colours and photography can vary from the material viewed in person, so custom work should record the agreed material/finish direction in the specification.
Finish and colour
A finish can change the visible tone of the base material. Lighting conditions also affect perceived colour. For custom furniture, approved specification versions should record the finish direction instead of relying only on chat descriptions.
Comparing products
Use KARIGAR's product and compare views to evaluate the actual recorded material, finish, size, dimensions, price and availability. Do not infer missing specifications from another similar-looking product.
