Measure the space, not only the furniture
Before ordering, record the usable width, depth and height of the intended furniture area. Account for skirting, windows, radiators, switches, door movement and other fixed obstacles.
Check the delivery path
Measure the route from the building entrance to the final room, including:
- external and internal door openings;
- corridor widths and tight turns;
- stair width, landing depth and ceiling clearance;
- lift door width, lift cabin dimensions and weight/building rules;
- floor level and any loading restrictions.
Compare the correct dimensions
Product dimensions can describe width, depth and height, but orientation matters. Do not compare one product's width with another product's depth by mistake.
For modular or multi-piece furniture, consider the size of the largest individual piece as well as the final assembled footprint.
Leave practical clearance
A piece that technically fits the floor area may still be uncomfortable to use. Allow practical clearance for walking, chair movement, drawers, doors and surrounding furniture.
Custom furniture
Use the Custom Furniture form to record approximate dimensions and access constraints. Measurements can be refined during the specification process; the accepted specification should contain the dimensions being commercially agreed.
When unsure
Include room photos or a sketch in the private custom/support workflow when helpful. Do not upload unrelated identity or payment documents.
